About Alex Maw

Hi, my name is Alex. I started taking piano lessons when I was nine and started playing trumpet for my elementary school band in the 5th grade. I proceeded to play trumpet all the way up to my senior year of high school. I was a part of the Deer Valley High School marching band for all four years and even received the Outstanding Senior award in my last year of high school. Along with that I also started playing guitar midway through my eighth grade year and started taking lessons at this very location. It has since become my main instrument and although my main genre for it is modern metal I also won the Louis Armstrong award my senior year in my high school jazz band.
