Get to know Andrew Slayter
Andrew Slayter has been invested in music for much of his life, beginning with piano lessons for 15 years and trombone for 14 years. He first got his start at the Music Academy of Rockford where he learned piano for the first time and soon began learning trombone while in high school. He later went to Illinois State University beginning in 2019, where he got his bachelor's degree in music business. He is currently a member of the Rock Valley Orchestra in Rockford and has a love for jazz music.
