Get to know Anne

Hello, my name is Anne Jones.  Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  In the 4th grade we had the opportunity to take a flutophone class.  By the end of the 4th grade, I was hooked ready to trade my flutophone for a band instrument and played the French Horn until I graduated high school.

Over the past 25 years, I have been involved in numerous aspects of the music industry: as a former business manager/personnel manager/music librarian for a 70+ member concert band, was part owner of a local music store (20+ years), was an Educational Road Rep, repaired and detailed musical instruments, have been a vendor at local and regional flute events, attended NAPBIRT clinics, audited several Suzuki Flute Institutes at East Tennessee State University and,  attended Flute Masterclasses with Julius Baker, James Galway, Jeffery Kahner and Toshio Takahashi.  Along with my husband, Frank Jones, I have taught flute lessons, specializing in beginners of all ages with my youngest student being 3 1/2 years old.  The look of sheer joy when a student would get when they played their first song is unforgettable!

As an advocate for music talent education, I passionately believe that anyone can learn to play an instrument.  I bring that passion to work with me every day in hope of bringing  you  some joy on your musical journey.
