About Carter Martin

I come from a very musical family! My father was a drummer and all of my siblings and I found a passion for music very early in life. I remember taking long vacations with my family across the state and the car was always full of tunes and the sounds of our voices in harmony. 

When I reached 5th grade, I began to play in my school's band program. I began on saxophone and played for many years, but my passion deepened even further when I did my first try out for jazz band. The melodies and movements of jazz spoke to me in ways that concert had only opened the door for.

Since graduating, I took lessons for bass and guitar to further appreciate the spectrum of musicianship. Nowadays and satisfy my musical passion through vocalization, returning to my roots of car sing-a-longs until I find myself back on stage for weekend performances.
