About Chad S

The Saxophone is my main instrument and I have had the great priviledge of studying under well known names such as Chester Rowell, Larry Slezak, Woody Witt, David Caceras and Ralph Burton.

As a performer I've had great fun playing with the Big Bands of Carrie Richards and Ronnie Renfro as well as Doug Allen & The Chicago Mob and The Works. What I have learned from these experiences is certainly a reason why I advocate the study of music actively.

Currently, I play Saxophone for the 5th Avenue Band based out of Houston, Texas.

I've also started to branch out as a musician and have since taken up guitar and bass under the instruction of Mike Owen who is a local jazz musician as well as a teacher at our location.

My career with Music & Arts has enabled me to translate many elements of my passion to young developing musicians in my city which has been extremely rewarding.
