Get to know David Ricker
My name is David Ricker and I am a Senior Sales Associate for Bailey Brothers/Music & Arts in Birmingham. I have been a drummer/percussionist since high school whehe my musical journey began in the marching and concert bands playing bass drum, snare drum, tri-toms and cymbals. Watching Gene Kruppa and Buddy Rich as a child on television and being introduced to John Bonham and Keith Moon in high school were my insperations.
Playing in and around Birmingham and the state of Alabama has given me the opportunity to meet a multi-talented cast of characters. Before he passed away in the 80's, I was able to meet and watch Buddy Rich; talk about inspiration!!!
Outside of Bailey Brothers/Music & Arts, I'm very involved with family and the band Exit Strategey.
