Dermott Breault is a composer and pianist currently living in State College, Pennsylvania. His work is melodically driven and intuitive, joining traditional and contemporary technique. Notable recent works include Naskeag for string quartet, Future Regrets for trombone choir, and Twisted Strings for piano, viola, and electric guitar. Notable recent premieres include Is This the Sound You Wanted? at Penn State’s Esber Rehearsal Hall in December, and NPC in July 2024, performed by Loadbang at Longy’s Divergent Studio. He currently studies with Dr. Baljinder Sekhon at Penn State pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition.
