Get to know Eddie N

Hi! I'm Eddie and I've been here at Music and Arts since 2021. I've always loved music since the first days of learning Heart and Soul on my grandma's piano. I'm from Manorville where I attended Eastport Elementary School. I started learning to play the Trumpet since I was in 4th grade and took it all the way through to high school, where I attended Eastport-South Manor HS.

Around this time I became more serious about music beyond the trumpet, so I started to learn piano on my own. Meanwhile, I've always performed in the pit orchestra for the school musical every year I could. I even learned how to take my shower singing sessions and apply what I've learned in ESM's Concert Choir.

My time in the choir even gave me the confidence to audition for a lead role for the musical of my senior year, Mary Poppins. Music has always helped me connect with people and do things I've always dreamed of doing.

After high school, I took my trumpet playing to new heights by joining Stony Brook University's marching band, The Spirit of Stony Brook. I've played all four years, and even started playing for various volunteer groups throughout Long Island, like the Lindenhurst Brass Band. Around this time, I've started learning to play the guitar on my own.

Today, I continue to learn about the music that's driven me to where I am today, and love to learn about new things. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to build my first Cello, an instrument I've always dreamed of playing.
