Get to know Emery Wegh
Emery Wegh went to Farmington Highschool, where he learned the Double Bass, Tuba, and participated in chorus. From there he went to University or Hartford at the Hart School, where he studied double bass performance with Robert Black. He then learned all of the standard classical double bass repertoire and orchestral excerpts. In his undergrad he also had his first experience with private teaching.
After his undergrad he then went to University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the teaching of Paul Sharpe. He achieved his Masters in performance and an additional year of a performing arts certificate. In North Carolina he subbed with the Winston Salem Symphony, became Assistant Principal at the Salisbury Symphony, and a member of the Western Piedmont Symphony.
Now Emery has returned back to Connecticut, working as a full Senior Sales Associate at Music and Arts in Southington CT. He hopes to learn the art of selling instruments and helping people find the right teachers for their instruments.
