About Jake

Hello,

I'm Jake Rossi, the manager of the Horsham, PA location. I joined the Music & Arts family in 2015, and have worked in various stores such as Doylestown, Horsham and Wayne PA.

I am a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School, with experience in marching, concert, and jazz band. My primary instrument is trombone, but I also play baritone and tuba. In high school my friends and I formed a brass band called "The Lonely Pen Cap" and developed a cult following in the retirement homes in the greater Horsham area. Most weekends we were out at different retirement homes playing some of their favorite songs like Anchor's Away, Saints Go Marching In, Amazing Grace, and our most popular original song, Polka in The Eye.

Throughout my experience as a musician, I developed a passion for repair. As a result, in 2015, I completed a diploma in Band Instrument Repair at the Minnesota Southeast College in Red Wing Minnesota under the tutelage of John Huth, Lucas Pemberton, and Greg Beckwith.

As someone who took private one-on-one lessons for nine years, I understand the importance of supplemental learning to that which is done in school. At the Wayne store, I helped with the growth of the studio from 95 to 165 students! I am excited to get aspiring musicians started with their musical journey now in the Montgomery and Bucks County area. I would be more than happy to answer any of your lesson questions, and get you set up with one of our superb teachers today at our location. 

In my spare time you can find me off-roading with various car groups and cleaning up sections of Wharton State Forest in New Jersey. Since January of 2024, we have successfully removed 25,000 pounds of trash from the forest!

We are proud to serve the Hatboro-Horsham, Lower and Upper Moreland, Upper Dublin, Neshaminy, Wissahickon, Centennial, Council Rock, Central Bucks, and Bensalem School districts, as well as all of the other schools in the area.
