About Joshua Myers

Hello, musicians! My name is Joshua Myers, and I joined the Music & Arts team in Lawrence Park in July 2022.

I graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Music and Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, concentrating in vocal performance. My musical experience lies primarily within voice, but I also have recently taken a shine to classical composition. I am both a tenor and countertenor, and have been singing since I was  around 12 years old. I have sang in styles ranging from Renaissance to Romantic to Neoclassical, with a particular soft spot for opera. My favorite composers include Samuel Barber, Charles Ives, Leonard Bernstein, John Dowland, and Jacques Offenbach. 

I'm well-versed in classical music, and have a pretty wide range of knowledge on sheet music as a result. If you're looking for music recommendations in a certain style or from a certain era, I'm your guy!
