Get to know Kiara Salvati
I took an interest in music when I attended my first music class in elementary school.
I wanted to pursue singing so I auditioned and joined my elementary school chorus.
I continued chorus all through out my school career and picked up piano in middle school by taking private lessons.
In high school I was accepted into the music magnet for Woodside High School and joined a select women's choir where we performed and competed in Florida and New York.
I was a section leader for soprano 2's and taught my section music theory and new music that was assigned to us.
I participated in many musical activities in high school such as music honor society, piano classes and step team where we make music with our bodies.
I volunteered and played piano for a retirement home and received a music leadership award and received a music honor's chord at graduation.
After high school I decided to join the Army and was stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; I saw the opportunity to teach myself ukulele and have been playing for two years now.
