About Logan Barrett
Get to know Logan Barrett
Logan Barrett is a native of Murfreesboro, TN and has been a woodwind instructor with Music & Arts since September of 2019. Logan received his bachelor's in saxophone performance from Middle Tennessee State University in May of 2019. Logan has been a part of multiple ensembles during his time at MTSU, such as the wind ensemble, Band of Blue, Spectra Sax Quartet, jazz band, as well as clarinet choir for several semesters.
Logan has also attended iterations of several conferences, such as the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA), International Clarinet Association, and the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium. On top of teaching lessons with M&A and taking classes, Logan also is on staff with the Mt. Juliet High School Band of Gold as a saxophone instructor.
Currently, Logan is braving college life once again in attempt to pursue a master's degree in Instrumental Conducting from MTSU. As part of his graduate teaching responsibilities, Logan runs his own large saxophone ensemble, co-directs the concert band, symphonic band and wind ensemble, and assists in a variety of capacities with the MTSU Band of Blue.
On the rare occasion he has free time, Logan enjoys cooking, reading fantasy literature, and playing with his black cat Salem.
