Mat Lanning is an internationally-performed award-winning composer, pianist, and organist based in Boston. He is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the New England Conservatory.
Ever since publishing his first work at age 14, Mat’s compositions have been praised by professional composers and audiences alike. They have won both local and national prizes and have been performed by groups such as the Grammy-nominated Imani Winds, Dolce Suono, and the Worcester Chamber Music Society, among many others.
Additionally, Mat serves as an assistant for Orange Mountain Music, where he works for concert productions involving world-renowned artists such as Philip Glass, Dennis Russel Davies, and William Bolcom at venues like Carnegie Hall and the Morgan Library.
