About Mike Hulsey

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  I started playing piano and reading music at age 4, guitar at 7, violin in 4th grade, French Horn and vocal in junior high, and I continued studying and playing through junior high, high school, and college. I graduated with a degree in Music Education from Texas Tech.

After working in operations for a call center for 7 years, I worked for the Amarillo Civic Center as a stagehand, Production Manager, and Event Supervisor for over 8 years.  If I wasn't playing, I was involved in making sure that music could be brought to the community in some form.  I have been a board member of Greater Southwest Music Festival since 2006, having served as Board President in 2012. After 4 years as a sales representative and road guy for Jent's House of Music, I joined the Music & Arts family in 2018. I am happy that I am able to serve my community with the ability to make music for all ages, and being with a growing company like Music & Arts will further my career and passion. 

I have 3 daughters: Lori, Veronica, and Abby. I like to travel, meet new people, explore remote places, have fun, and play music!!
