Get to know Ross
Hello! My name is Ross and I manage the NY Capital District Music & Arts located in the Latham Farms Plaza. I have a BM in Music Business from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. My primary instrument is something I bring with me everywhere I go, my voice. I also enjoy playing just about anything I can get my hands on including but not limited to guitar, bass and horn. Most recent I've been able to enjoy singing as a member of the Albany Pro Musica Concert Choir. Music has been with me for as long as I can recall, from singing with my mother before bed to listening to my grandfather playing the guitar. Then, like most kids, it was playing the recorder which quickly evolved to singing in choir and playing the horn in band. In 5th grade I began performing in community and school drama productions like Oliver, 42nd Street and The Pirates of Penzance. Musical Theater is something I still enjoy to this day, performing most recently in productions of The Music Man and Peter and the Starcatcher. As a teenager I played the horn in the Ska band We're Ugly! After a few years of promoting live shows in New York City I found myself wanting to return to a greener environment, which brought me back to up-state New York. If you have questions about anything musical, feel free to email me or to stop into the store and I'll be happy to help.
