About Russell R

I was raised in a very musical family in Northern California. Both of my parents were musicians, in fact my father was my High School band director. I started playing trumpet in the 4th grade and never really looked back. I was very fortunate as a teenager to be able to play in a wide variety of musical settings and began playing gigs at a very young age. After graduating high school, I attended a local junior college and was able to study with some of the prominent musicians in the area. I then packed up and moved back east to attend Berklee College of Music. There I became very humbled, as well as very fortunate
to be able to play and study with some of the finest musicians in the world.

After graduating from Berklee, I began teaching privately in the school system,
as well as playing in a wide variety of musical settings.

I am very proud and thankful to be a part of the Music and
Arts family.
