Get to know Samantha S
Hi, my name is Sam and I am one of the Part-Time Senior Sales Associates over here at Lindenhurst!
I am an alumnus of the Copiague School District and am currently pursuing my BS in Music Therapy at Molloy College. Music has been an integral part of my upbringing, integrating into who I am as a person, and becoming the focal point of my aspiring career as a Music Therapist.
Since the age of nine, I have been playing the clarinet and a vocalist throughout my schooling within the Copiague School District. Participating in the Choir, Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Chorus, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Madrigal Choir, Jazz Band (alto saxophone) and Marching Band under the tutilage of the fine music educators in which Copiague has available. I participated in many of the productions within my high school years, performing roles such as Gibbon/Ensemble in Godspell, Arista in The Little Mermaid, and Kylar in Bring It On! the Musical, as well as acting as Brutus in the Drama Club's production of Act III, Scene I of Julius Ceasar. Additionally, I was inducted into the Tri-M Music Honors Society and National Thespian Honor Society. Throughout my music education within Copiague I participated in NYSSMA on numerous occassions both as a Vocalist and on the Clarinet; participating as a member of the NYSCAME All-County in 11th grade and All-State Mixed Choir in my 12th grade year.
From 2013-2014, I took lessons in this very store and began my vocal training on a serious level under Amanda Chmela. I reached out to her once again in my 11th grade year in high school and began to prepare the pieces for my audition at Molloy College. Thanks to her I was able to successfully be admitted into the Music Therapy program at Molloy College in the Spring of 2018 for the upcoming Fall 2018 semester as a Vocal Primary. At Molloy College I am currently being vocally trained under Kyle Pfortmiller and am/have been apart of the Chamber Chorus, Concert Choir, Vocal Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble.
