Get to know Sarah Uyar
Meet Sarah, a highly qualified music educator with a passion for helping students develop their musical skills and creativity. Sarah has a Bachelor of Music degree from Hartt School of Music and has been recognized for their outstanding achievements in the band with awards in 2016, 2017, and 2019. Additionally, Sarah has been awarded the Artists Collective Certificate of Excellence in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Sarah has extensive experience as a musician, playing with a variety of ensembles and programs for the Hartt Community division. They have also participated in the UMASS Amherst's Jazz in July Summer Program and performed in the Theater in Color for the Broadway in the River Pit Band.
Sarah is currently the Youth Jazz Orchestra Instructor for the Artists Collective, where they impart their vast knowledge and experience in music to the next generation of musicians. Sarah has over 10 years of experience playing the trumpet and 5 years of experience playing the piano.
In addition to their playing experience, Sarah has over 2 years of teaching experience. They have demonstrated an ability to motivate and encourage students, helping them achieve their musical goals. Patience, resilience, and creativity are the hallmarks of their teaching style, making them a highly sought-after music teacher.
