This brass ensemble is intended to give players the skills needed to play in a small and large group, and help them grow as performing musicians. All students involved in the program will take part in a special concert at the end of the six week program. The cost of the ensemble is $99 per student and will run every Tuesday from October 11th through November 15th, starting at 6:00 and ending at 7:30. Space is limited, so talk to an associate today to reserve your slot.
Brian Little has been teaching Brass since 1990 when he founded his own band program at St. Michael Catholic School. Brian’s passion for teaching helped the program achieve great success over the course of the 14 years he taught there. Soon after, he joined the Music & Arts team in Concord, North Carolina. He is an instructor that pulls knowledge from his extensive performance experience to assist his students with their learning. Outside the lesson studio, he actively performs with the local band “Stardusters” out of Gastonia.
“When they offered band in sixth grade I immediately jumped on it so I started playing baritone horn. Then I switched to euphonium in high school because I was getting very good. I was getting scholarships to music camps! I went to All State my junior year and got third chair out of seven and then went back to All State my senior year and got first chair in the state of Illinois. I got a scholarship to study music in college so my parents made an investment in getting me a good euphonium. I started in music education but I wanted to play. So that’s when I switched to trombone and became a trombone player.”
Mr. Little offers private lessons on Thursdays and Sundays inside our facility near the Concord Mills Mall.
