Aaron Plotz was born and raised in Jacksonville. He started getting lessons at a young age with Professor Tony Steve. Aaron got his first paying gig at the age of 14 for Isle of Faith Methodist Church. Through out high school, Aaron played in several local bands, which played in southern Georgia and different cities in North Florida. He also has participated in the Jacksonville University’s Jazz combo, Percussion Ensemble, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble. Aaron has played drum kit and percussion for several musicals in a variety of theaters around Jacksonville such as the Florida Theater, Theater Jax, and Players by the Sea. Aaron went on to study Percussion Performance at Jacksonville University, and then University of North Florida where he received his Bachelor’s in Music Performance. Recent gigs consist of playing at Spring In The Blues with Mama Blue, and Jacoby Hall with Amy Grant and Les Miserables at Theater Jax. To date, Aaron is performing with local country artist Savanna Leigh Bassett, and continuing to do freelance in north Florida and south Georgia.
