About Me

Hi, I'm Alex Easterday! I have been apart of the Music and Arts team since April 2017. I play the euphonium and trombone, but I have experience playing most of the wind instruments. I believe that music is vital to a student's education not only to foster creativity, but to teach dedication and passion.

I grew up in New Jersey and began my journey as a musician in the first grade when I began piano lessons. I did not join the band until eighth grade, when I began trombone because I wanted to be in the high school marching band. I'm a big advocate for the marching arts, and also a strong supporter of the Drum Corps world. I marched trombone and baritone in high school, and also served as the drum major of the band my senior year. I have travelled across the country with my high school band, performing at Disney World in Florida, half time at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, and half time in Met Life stadium for a NY Giants game.

I am currently studying at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a B.M. in Music Education. I am a member of the Tuba/Euphonium studio, as well as a member of the USC Symphonic Winds. When I am not at work or in class, you can probably find me at the Carolina Band marching band hall where I serve as the drum major for the Mighty Sound of the Southeast. If you have any questions, we would love to see you in store!
