About Alfredo

Alfredo began his musical career at the beginning of fifth grade, in the Collinsville Unit School District. He has played the saxophone for eleven plus years and has played the clarinet for a little over three years, having taken applied lessons on both instruments at the collegiate level. A drive and passion for music was immediately developed, and has pushed him to expand his musicianship and to follow his love for the arts into a professional career.

Currently the principal saxophonist for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) Wind Symphony, Alfredo also holds the soprano saxophone seat for the SIUE Saxophone Quartet. He also works with the Collinsville High School Bands as well as other area band programs.

Alfredo is the president of the collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAFME) and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Music Education at SIUE.
