About Amanda

Amanda Walsh has been playing piano and violin since she was seven years old. Her training began with Anita Pontremoli, Head of Collaborative Piano at The Cleveland Institute of Music. Amanda also studied violin with Helen Richards at The Cleveland Music School Settlement and was a member of The Bellflower String Quartet for seven years. In 1998, she graduated from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in piano performance.

Amanda has been teaching piano, violin, and songwriting for twenty years. She has been teaching at Motter's Music House for nine years and has taught private lessons in her home for twenty years. She focuses on her traditional Classical training, teaching students to read and memorize music while sharing her love of songwriting and all other genres of music.

She recently released an album entitled "Magic is Real" and debuted it at various venues in Northeast Ohio. She plays in two duos, an Irish band, and a rock band.
