Angela has taught in various community music schools in the NY Tri-State area for over 15 years, including the Mason Gross School of the Arts Extension Division at Rutgers University and was the Director of Musical Theatre Arts at the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts in Berkeley Heights, NJ from 2012 – 2016. Her most recent international performance and teaching experience was her work in France as a faculty member of FAVA in 2009. As part of the faculty she performed solo recitals and was a voice teacher in their summer program in France. Angela has also taught basic music theory and piano with the focus on enhancing musicianship skills for singers.
Angela’s approach is holistic. She believes that the vocal instrument works optimally when the body and mind are in balance. In her journey to better understand the connection between voice, body and mind, she obtained certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in their Health Coach training program (NYC)- 2019, she is a certified Compton PESL Accent Modification/Speech coach (2018), Registered Yoga Teacher 500 through Yoga Alliance (Yoga Works NYC) and has spent many years as a dancer. She uses her knowledge to assist her students to understand their physical and energetic alignment as they relate to their singing and speech.
