Teaches Violin, Viola, Cello
Areas of Instruction
Violin, Viola, Cello
Annie Foxen teaches the violin, viola and cello at Music and Arts, Farmingdale. She received a bachelor of arts in Studio Art from Carleton College in the spring of 2017, where she was the concert mistress of the college symphony orchestra, and participated in various chamber ensembles, including classical string quartets, a bluegrass trio, and the Chinese music ensemble. More recently, Annie’s dual interests art and music have led her to explore music’s conceptual boundaries through sound art composition and performance projects with the Long Island Vegetable Orchestra, an experimental music group that has been featured in the New York Times, the Conan O’Brien Show and the Rachel Ray Show. Annie is a member of the South Shore Symphony Orchestra and loves to play chamber music with friends. She feels lucky to be sharing her passion for music with her students at Music and Arts.
Annie is also a visual artist. Her website can be found at anniefoxen.com.
