About Me

My life as a musician began in the fall of 2005 when I started as a 6th grade euphonium student as Bush Middle School here in San Antonio and I then went over to Lopez in 8th grade for the school’s inaugural school year. I’m a graduate of Ronald Reagan High School also here in San Antonio where I regularly received 1s at the regional and state solo and ensemble contests and served as the co-tuba/euphonium section leader my senior year.

I received my bachelor’s in music performance from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music where I started off as a euphonium student until the day my studio professor put a bass trombone in my hand and told me I was needed in the orchestra and have been primarily a professional bass trombone player ever since. While in Denver I played for both the Lamont Wind Ensemble and the Lamont Symphony Orchestra while also playing in the Rocky Mountain Trombone Quartet, various brass ensembles including the Denver Brass, while also playing for numerous professional orchestras in the Denver metro area.
