About Ben Crotts
Ben is completing his third year as Director of Bands at Eastern Alamance High School, and ninth year as a high school band director in North Carolina. His groups have consistently received high placements in Marching Band Competitions around the state of North Carolina, including over ten First Place in Class Awards and over one hundred and fifty individual and caption awards. His Concert Bands have received ratings of Excellent and Superior at state MPA in four out of five years attended, including Superior Ratings the past two years.
As a private instructor, Ben's students have been accepted to numerous All-County, District, and other Honor Bands in and around the state of North Carolina. Former students are now completing their own music degrees at UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro College, Western Carolina, UNC-Charlotte, NC A&T University, Methodist University, Mars Hill University, and Lee University in Tennessee.
Currently, Ben maintains an active performance schedule through performing at area Churches, weddings, and other events. He is a member of the Praise Team at The Lamb's Chapel in Burlington. He is the 2018 clinician for the Wilkes County Honors Band in Ronda NC, and has served as a guest clinician at several high schools around North Carolina. He is a member of North Carolina Music Educators Association, National Association of Music Educators, NCAE, and Bugles Across America. Mr. Crotts lives in Graham NC and enjoys running, disc golf, hiking, and fishing in his spare time.
