About Benjamin Zeff

Dr. Ben Zeff is a professional performer, composer, arranger and educator with almost twenty years of professional experience. He is proficient on the guitar (6, 7, and 8 string electric, steel and nylon string acoustic), bass guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukulele with professional experience on all afore mentioned instruments. Ben is fluent in most styles of music including but not limited to jazz, jazz/rock fusion, blues, rock, metal and progressive metal (Djent), bluegrass, country, popular styles and classical.

Dr. Zeff holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Performance and a Doctor of Musical Arts in performance and composition from the University of Texas at Austin. Ben Zeff has extensive gigging and session work experience in the West Coast and San Francisco Bay areas, East Coast, New York and Tri-State areas, Midwest as well as in the Southern States; especially Texas and the Austin, TX music scene. In addition, Dr. Zeff has toured Europe and performed at the North Sea and Montreux Jazz Festivals.

Dr. Ben Zeff is a consummate professional both on the stage and in the teaching studio. He possesses a true gift for conveying information in a relatable and understandable way. His mastery of the instruments that he teaches will both inspire and help guide you and/or your child down your own paths to musical success and creativity.
