Brittney

Currently located in Sterling, VA, Brittney is a virtual private oboe lesson instructor. In addition to teaching lessons, she is the Social Media Coordinator for the Midwest Double Reed Society, and she arranges works for double reed ensembles, as well as composes original works.

Her style of teaching is well-rounded, as she likes to prepare her students for the demands of the music world today. Brittney has experience in playing a variety of styles; from Baroque, to jazz, to contemporary works.

She placed third in the 2020 Midwest Double Reed Society collegiate oboe competition, where she is a member. She is also a member of the International Double Reed Society.

Brittney graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s in oboe performance, and received her Bachelor’s in oboe performance at Western Michigan University.
