About Me

How goes it!?

My name is Callista. I have been involved in playing music since I could talk. The first song I remember singing was DHT's version of "Listen to Your Heart" when I was two. I was raised on Punk, Metal, Old-school Rock & Roll, Indie, Hip-hop, and many other genres.

I started out playing piano at the age of two years old, I had a mini piano set up next to my dad, who would play the piano I play now. At the age of 4, I was in love with the broadway musical, "Chicago". I would dress up and sing all of the songs from the musical. When I was 10 years old, I recieved a pink strat from my dad. I played guitar every night of that year and still play every night, to this day. I also, began playing the flute in my school's band. It was from then on, that I joined the honor choir with my elementary school and found passion in singing. I was able to preform at multiple venues, including the University of Redlands and Disneyland on multiple occasions.

When I was 13, I was privately trained in vocals by Nicole Barnhart of "Blontourage". I preformed at the Center Stage Theater in Fontana, singing on stage whenever I could. At the age of 14, I began training at the Claremont School of Music in vocals as well. I was trained there in Opera, Classical, Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Country vocals. In 2017, I formed a band called, "The Wanderstars" but, due to the band member's decisions we decided to move on from it and I have been doing solo gigs whenever I get a chance!

Come on down to the East Rancho Music and Arts if you ever feel like talking music, and don't forget to sign up for lessons with our awesome teachers! I am here most days of the week and look forward to meeting you or, helping you with anything you may need!
