Frank Archer is a Professor Emeritus of Fine Arts and Choral Activities at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He holds degrees from Hampden-Sydney and Westminster Choir College and the Choirmaster Certificate from the American Guild of Organists. Additionally, he has taught at Hunter College in New York, Caldwell University, and Sweet Briar College.
He often accompanies his wife, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra flutist and piccoloist Mary Ann, in recital and they have a growing series of arrangements published by Nourse Wind Music in Toronto. He and Mary Ann retired to Charlotte in 2015 and have two grown children, Sarah and Geoff, and their spouses Scott and Hope, plus grandson Landry.
