Ms. Christine Arroyo has been the Orchestra Director of Haut Gap Middle School since 2015. Ms. Arroyo graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Emphasis in Education. Currently, Ms. Arroyo is earning her Masters Degree in Music Education with a Conducting Specialization from Colorado State University.
The Haut Gap Middle School Program has received both a Superior and an Excellent Rating under the direction of Ms. Arroyo. The program has shown growth in both quality and quantity.
In addition to serving Haut Gap Middle School, Ms. Arroyo served the Charleston County District Orchestra as the Assistant Director of the Honors Orchestra. Her current professional affiliations include National Association for Music Educators, the South Carolina Music Educators Association, and American String Teachers Association.
Ms. Arroyo has been teaching private violin and viola lessons since August 2011. She currently has studios in Mt. Pleasant and West Ashley. Ms. Arroyo emphasizes teaching strong fundamental technique and basics. Furthermore, she has a reputation for obtaining results from her students.
