Bachelor of Arts in Music: Central Washington University
As a musician, I started playing the piano at the age of nine, and continued on through college. Around the same time, I joined various choirs throughout elementary, Jr. High, and high school through college. I am a former member of a high school show choir, the Spanaway Lake High School Music Company, where we toured around Washington State, and toured at Disneyland and Hawaii. During my time at Central Washington University, I have performed with a variety of choral ensembles including the University Chorale, Men's Choir, Vocal Jazz choir, and CWU Chamber Choir. I have performed a wide variety of musical styles; everything from classical, jazz, musical theater, pop music, and more. I have always been a tenor, and forever will be.
As an educator, I currently hold a teaching certificate for teaching music K through twelve. I taught at Hudtloff Middle School in Lakewood, and Washington teaching middle school level choir. I have also completed a long term assignment as a choir/music teacher at Keithley Middle School. I have been substitute teaching in multiple school districts, and am currently substitute teaching mainly in the Renton School District.
I have a huge desire to work with students of all ages, and I look forward to sharing my passion for music education with new faces.
There are currently open slots for new students Tuesday afternoon!
