About Connie S.
I began playing the piano at the age of ten. I began accompanying at the age of 14, and I have continued to accompany school, community and church choirs, soloists, small ensembles and instrumentalists. I have taught piano for 15 years. During that time I have continued to take classes and lessons. I try to share what I learn with my students as their understanding of music increases. I see my students as individuals who learn at their own pace, and I plan their lesson accordingly. I like to “gently challenge” my students to set goals and achieve them. I want my students to be well-rounded musicians – to become pianists but also to have a good understanding of how music works so they can enjoy many different aspects of music as they learn.
