Daniel is the recipient of the Carter/Berger scholarship for music research in 2014. He is also a featured artist in WRTI's, Music Makers Philadelphia that interviewed and
recorded on Dec. 21st, 2014.
Daniel has over 20 years performance experience that includes Odean Pope’s Saxophone Choir, Bobby Zankel’s Warriors of the Wonderful Sound, Truth + Consequence, and Puzzle Box. His performances has gained him experiences at such venues as The Blue Note, Kimmel Center, Painted Bride, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Clef Club, Eerie Jazz and Blues Festival, and Cape May Jazz Festival.
With over 20 years experience teaching in schools and privately he Is well aware of audition & skill criteria for all levels, ages and situations (jazz, marching band, orchestra, all state, college etc.) and will prepare students for their appropriate needs.
Additionally he has a personal approach to incorporating theory into lessons, using improvisation and compositional ideas to help student develop their individual voice.
