I have been playing cello since I was nine years old. Having the opportunity to study with a variety of teachers, I played in the St. Charles Symphony Youth Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. I graduated from Missouri Baptist University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Music Education, and from Webster University in 2012 with a Master's degree in music composition.
I am currently teaching at St. Charles Community College as an adjunct music teacher. Private instruction is my passion, and in addition to working with students at the college, I give in-home lessons throughout the St. Charles area. I perform regularly, in the St. Charles Community College Orchestra, and in string quartets and other ensembles for weddings and other events throughout St. Louis.
I believe that every student learns differently, and that learning to play the cello can help you to gain many important life skills, such as problem-solving, teamwork, and respect. It is my hope that the student will not only become a better musician, but that they will be able to share their joy of music with others.
