Deanne Silver

About Me

Learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass from one of Australia's leaders in child and adult music education, Mrs. Deanne Silver.

Mrs. Silver, a former child prodigy herself, has won numerous awards for her teaching of young children through the Australian education system, her private practice, two universities, and Australia's leading government accreditation agency (the Australian Music Examinations Board or AMEB) as a senior examiner. She has her musical degrees from Trinity College in London and Australia.
To her credit and that of her students, some of her past pupils have taken their love of music to new heights becoming either professional performers, or teachers. Some have even been invited to become lecturers of music at some of Australia's most prestigious colleges.
Her many accomplishments include playing as a soloist at a Royal Concert for the Duchess of Kent and as one of the senior violinists at such events as concerts by Sir Peter Ustinov and Australia folk artist Rolf Harris at the Sydney Opera House. Her students have played as invited guest artists for the Darling Downs College of Music Orchestra, and have won State awards for string ensemble work and orchestral performances under her baton.
Relocated to the United States in 2003, Mrs. Silver has decided to establish a new practice in Exton, PA. and bring her love of music, music theory and teaching the Suzuki method and other methods to new students of all ages in the United States.
Take this opportunity to learn from one of the leaders in the field for an individual lesson. Parents are encouraged to attend with their child.
“Music is the international language, understood by everyone regardless of education or culture.”
“I love Billy Joel’s statement about music: "I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.”.”
“Music is like our own cake: made with our own ingredients and love.”
