About Donna

Donna has always had a love of music from a young age. She has enjoyed singing in her school choirs and joined band in 6th grade playing the flute. When she reached her junior year of high school she decided she wanted to be a music teacher. Donna went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Shenandoah University, with an emphasis in vocal music and general music education.

She has been teaching private lessons for the past 17 years and has taught all ages from 3 to 63! In addition to private lessons, Donna has also taught general music classes for K-8th grades at a private church school for a number of years.

In high school, Donna was able to sing with the All District Chorus and the All Virginia Chorus. While at college, she was a member of Shenandoah University's all women's choir that was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center, as well as a vocal jazz show choir which went on tour in Brazil. And as an adult she has enjoyed singing and performing with the Loudoun Lyric Opera on a couple of productions.

Donna enjoys the musical styles of opera, classical, traditional folk songs, jazz, hymns & worship music, and musical theater/Broadway.
