Specialist, Repair Shop
After graduation, I obtained a job at Verne Q. Powell Flutes, Inc. working in the Finishing Department. As a finisher, I was responsible for working on the entire instrument line, from student to handmade custom flutes. I spent 4 1/2 years in the Powell shop before transfering to the Blessing factory in Elkhart, Indiana. While at Blessing, I worked on a very interesting and rewarding project developing an American made saxophone for Powell Flutes. In my role as Production Manager, I was responsible for training, manufacture, and a host of adminstrative duties for the project.
Before joining the Paramus shop, I was a woodwind technician at our Frederick, MD Refurbishing Facility. In Frederick, I repaired a number of our rental instruments, ranging from minor adjustments to major overhauls. Additionally, I also worked on retail and school account repairs. This exprerience exposed me to many great repair technicians that Music & Arts has on staff. I was very fortunate enough to exchange ideas and techniques with many of those technicians in the shop.
Because of these experiences, you can trust that your instrument is in safe hands while it's in the shop. From student instruments, step-up instruments, to vintage instruments, I'm confident that you'll be pleased with the outcome of our work.
