About Elizabeth

Liz Oyama-Adams is a Seattle-based performing- and teaching-artist.  She graduated from Eastern Washington University with degrees in both music performance and music education, and before transitioning to private studio teaching, she spent five years as an elementary music specialist in the Renton School District.  She strongly believes that music is a vital aspect of out well-being, and that it should be made accessible to students of all ages.  When she is not teaching, she is often seen on stage; she has appeared with a number of the area’s musical theatre houses, including Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Second Story Repertory, and Edmonds Driftwood Players.  Favorite credits include Belle (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Maria (The Sound of Music), and the Witch (Into the Woods).
