About Me

Hello.  My name is Eric Churchill and I am the Educational Representative for much of the Central Ohio area.

I hail from a small town in Ohio called Castalia.  I started playing the saxophone on my own in the 4th grade because I was too eager to wait until band started in the 6th grade.  Throughout my high school and college years I branched out to play many other instruments including: guitar, bass, banjo, sop. ten. and bari sax, clarinet, Bass Clarinet (Contrabass and Contralto in college), flute, trumpet and piano.  I graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and have been teaching private saxophone since 2001.  While at college I was able to participate in many different ensembles including: Wind Symphony and Symphonic Winds, Saxophone Quartets, Clarinet Choirs, various Jazz ensembles and Big Band.  I was also the first saxophonist to win Capital's Concerto Competition, which I won on Baritone Saxophone.

I started working at Music & Arts in 2006 and have worked every location in the Columbus area over the years.  I started as the Hilliard store manager in April of 2013 and transitioned to the Ed Rep position in April of 2015.  I look forward to working the local programs to help in any way that I can.  All of our store staff and lesson teachers have extensive musical background and knowledge and look forward to helping with any musical need you may have.

I look forward to seeing you soon!
