About Me

Erin is currently a School Services Educational Representative for Music & Arts. Erin serves 11 school districts. Her support region spans as far west as the Tacoma Narrows bridge, including Tacoma, University Place, Clover Park, and Franklin Pierce. She works all across Pierce County to Orting & Eatonville, and north into Federal Way, as well. Erin is proud to serve these many communities, especially because she is a Washington state native!

Erin’s love of music started when she first picked up a flute in the Auburn schools, and since elementary school she was always that band student who played in every single group she could get her hands on - from wind ensemble, jazz band, and marching band to Tacoma Youth Symphony. She studied music at the University of Puget Sound, earning a Bachelor of Music in performance (2013), and subsequently earned a Master of Music degree in performance and literature at the University of Illinois (2015). During those programs, she coached the Puget Sound Youth Wind Ensemble section and Illinois Summer Youth Music woodwind & junior band divisions.  Erin competed and won second prize in the Kujala International Piccolo Competition and has competed in both the flute and piccolo artist competitions with the National Flute Association, as well as performing at the national College Band Director’s Association convention in Nashville, TN.

From all of her experiences in music, Erin knows the hard work and support that it takes to get musicians’ individual & ensemble performance to a high level. These days, Erin works for Music & Arts’ School Services Division, while maintaining performances and a small lesson studio. Her comprehensive musical background shines through in her work with the community of music educators she is proud to serve! From recruitment via beginner play testing, instrument rental meetings, new equipment purchases or repairs, whatever your program’s musical needs, Erin will handle them with a smile.  In addition, Erin is always willing to donate time to assist at festivals, aid transportation of large instruments to venues, and help coach your flute or woodwind sectionals, band camps, and lessons.  No matter where your program goes, Erin and Music & Arts will be there to support your success!
