Evangeline Prior, a musician of multiple disciplines, has been playing and singing since the age of five. Upon her graduation she received recognition for having completed Advanced Level for both piano and voice in the rigorous MTAC Certificate of Merit program. Prior planned and produced her own high school senior recital featuring solos on her three main instruments--piano, cello, and voice--as well as ukulele accompaniment, strings trios, and vocal duets. During high school, she participated in the Inland Empire Piano Competition, The Temecula Rotary Club Competition, and played cello with the Inland Valley Symphony for two years. From there, she progressed to Azusa Pacific University where she is finishing two Bachelor of Music degrees--Cello Performance and Music Education--as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Humanities. Since studying at APU her experiences have included: teaching private music lessons, coaching strings at schools in the Glendora Unified School District, touring internationally with the APU Chamber Singers, and serving as Musical Director with CYT’s Riverside’s summer productions. Over the last 10 years, Prior has also been privileged to serve on worship teams for churches across Southern California as well as for national church conferences. After graduation, Prior hopes to continue her education with a Masters degree in Music Education, further her experience in church music, and expand her career in teaching to public middle school.
