About Gail Johnson

Gail Rudisill Johnson
Started playing violin at the age of 5 in Illinois. At 14, she found a love for fiddling.
In 1995, Gail earned a Bachelor of Music (emphasis on violin performance) with an outside minor-music business at Belmont University. Starting in 1996,she toured All over the world and performed on the Grand Ole Opry with Bill Anderson. She still performs with various bluegrass groups and has played on many recording sessions with country and gospel artists such as Gene Watson, John Conlee, BJ Thomas, Bill Anderson, and many more. Gail has also authored a beginning fiddle book for the Music Sales company in New York titled The Absolute Beginners Guide to Fiddle. Since her children were born 16 years ago, she has dedicated her week days to teaching lessons both group and private lessons. She likes to spend spare time taking her students and her own children to music and dance competitions as well as performing with her kids.
