Teaches Saxophone

It's all about the sound.  Fluency with scales and improvisation technique cannot make up for weak sound.  Produce a great sound and the rest will come.

About Gary

Gary toured the U.S. and Europe with the United States Air Force Band, and has performed in fourteen countries with the USAFE "Glenn Miller" band in Europe.  During this time, Gary recorded albums at Waldorf Studios in Germany, and performed on stage with well-known artists including Duke Ellington, Doc Severinson and Victor Borge. His Performances covered festivals across Europe, from the "Rose of Tralee" Irish beauty festival, to "Feria" in Seville, Spain, to "Communist Musikfest" in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.

Gary plays all kinds of music from blues and jazz, to rock, folk, and classical, but has a special love for high-energy big band jazz in the "Buddy Rich style".  He is an active performer, and owns high quality Soprano, Alto & Tenor saxes, and doubles on flute. Gary plays daily with multiple local performing bands, and is equally comfortable playing with a seventeen-piece jazz band, a folk combo, or small pit orchestra.
