Performance Experience

Majoring in classical guitar performance at The Mannes College of Music, he studied with Albert Blain and Eliot Fisk, and performed in New York, Tulsa, St. Louis, and other cities in the US. Pellegrin has performed recitals at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall three times.

Teaching Experience

Pellegrin wrote for Soundboard Magazine before publishing a novel Low End in 2003. Classic Guitar Method combined Pellegrin’s writing skills with his musical expertise. In May 2008 The Guitar, his first CD was released. 2010 yielded another CD, Old and New. His latest CD, Introspect, consists entirely of Pellegrin’s compositions—eleven brief waltzes and four longer works. Mel Bay Publications published the score: Introspect, catalog number 30602M. Pellegrin began teaching in New York City in 1978, and has been instructing players I the Capital Area since 1996. Since 2008 he has been an adjunct professor at Union College. A member of the Board of Directors of the CGSUNY since 2012 and its Vice President since 2016, he is currently its vice president and an artist member of the Monday Musical Club of Albany.
