About Ikaika Pekelo

Ikaika started playing percussion in junior high and continued all the way through college where he ended up majoring in music.  While in college and after Ikaika played with many local and regional acts in and around Colorado including his own group: funk/jazz outfit The Aggregates and also did a lot work in pit drum set/percussion at the Carousel Dinner Theatre and Candlelight Dinner Playhouse.  Most recently he has been working with pop vocalist Rebecca Moreland here in Nashville.

Along with performing on drums Ikaika has also built a great reputation as a teacher. While in Colorado Ikaika taught around fifty students at Spotlight Music, Music and Arts and RCS schools. Ikaika has also helped to facilitate a program getting young students to form groups, and giving them an outlet to perform in front of an audience.
