About Me
Ilijah was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and raised most of his life in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He is 24 years old and currently teaches K-12 Music and Technology at Faith Christian School of Roseto, Pennsylvania and the Choir and Orchestra director of Calvary Bible Church of East Stroudsburg. He has been playing low brass instruments since he was in the fourth grade, starting out on the baritone, and has since learned the euphonium, tuba, and bass trombone.

“I chose teaching as a career because I love communicating and connecting with people, particularly up and coming generations. One of the sweetest lessons I have learned in my life, and seek to remember every day, is the fact that we are ALL students of life and should never stop learning. If we feel like we have ‘reached’ our cap of knowledge, that is more an indicator of concern than anything else, so as a teacher, I want to learn from my students just as much as I am teaching them. It is a relationship that should be edifying for both student AND teacher. As long as I am teaching, my goal is to grow with my students and enjoy figuring out how each one learns best.”
