About Isaias Ferreira

Isaias Ferreira began studying violin at School of Music of Sao Paulo (Brazil) at Dr. Enaldo Oliveira`s studio, and then, later, studied under tutelage of the violinist and Professor Maria Vischnia and Dr. Eliane Tokeshi.

Graduated from Sao Paulo State University under guidance of Dr. Ricardo Kubala, he holds a master`s degree in music with emphasis on violin performance from Sao Paulo State University, and bachelor`s degree in music from Santa Marcelina College. Since 2017 Isaias Ferreira has been studying violin at Azusa Pacific University (Artist Certificate Program) under tutelage of Professor and violinist Nathan Cole.

During the undergraduate he was the winner of “Bolsa Talento Competition”. Also, during his studies at Santa Marcelina College Isaias was the first violin of FASM´s String Quartet. Isaias Ferreira has participated in Masterclass of Boris Belkin, Karen Dreyfus, Domenico Nordio, Francesco Manara, Carmelo de Los Santos, Ulf Schneider among others.

He was the concertmaster of Sao Jose dos Campos Symphony Orchestra and Sao Jose dos Campos String Orchestra, the first violin at Sao Jose String Quartet, principal second violin at Orange County Symphony Orchestra and took part in several orchestras in Brazil like University of Sao Paulo Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Symphony of Sao Paulo Orchestra, Santos Symphony Orchestra, Paulistana Chamber Orchestra, São Bernardo do Campo Symphony Orchestra and Sao Jose do Rio Preto Philharmonic. As a soloist he has performed with orchestras like University of Sao Paulo Chamber Orchestra, L`estro Armonico Orchestra, School of Music of Sao Paulo Orchestra and Sao Jose dos Campos Symphony Orchestra.

He worked as violin and chamber music teacher at some institutions like Heitor Villa Lobos Conservatory of Sao Paulo, Guri Project,  Guri Santa Marcelina and the Music workshop`s project of Cultural Foundation Cassiano Ricardo.

Currently holds the position of first violin section at Azusa Pacific Symphony Orchestra.
